Portable (ships in a standard sea container), Marian began providing contract research services in the Spring of 2007, and is ideally suited as a research platform for a diverse array of clients, including academic institutions, naval laboratories and private industry.

Marian is outfitted with state of the art underwater communications, navigation, inertial guidance, and sonar systems. Integration of client payloads for sensor or software testing, including autonomous piloting software, is encouraged.
